MMC Commissioner Orders Stronger Sanitation and Traffic Measures in Fatehnagar
A city commissioner checked cleanliness and traffic conditions on a busy road in Hyderabad.
He looked at garbage collection points, road edges, traffic flow and building waste.
He told workers to collect household garbage every day.
Garbage collection points should also be emptied daily.
Officials must remove things blocking roads and deal with vehicles that obstruct traffic.
Sand piled near the road can be used to level low areas when possible.
Construction waste must be handled through approved channels instead of being dumped illegally.
Teams will keep checking the area to stop garbage and obstructions from returning.
MMC Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy inspected sanitation, garbage points, road margins, traffic flow and C&D waste management.
The inspection covered Fatehnagar Shivalayam Road, also referred to as Fatehnagar and Sivalayam Road, in Hyderabad.
Officials were directed to achieve 100 per cent daily door-to-door garbage collection and clear primary and secondary collection points daily.
Road obstructions, encroachments and vehicles disrupting traffic are to be addressed, with action against obstructing vehicles.
Accumulated sand may be reused for levelling low-lying areas, while C&D waste must be processed through authorised channels to prevent illegal dumping.
