Parents Group Seeks Cancellation of Andhra Pradesh MBBS Admissions
Call For Cancellation Of MBBS Admissions Held In Violation Of Norms In AP · deccanchronicle.com

A parents’ group says some medical students were not given the seats they should have received.

It says reserved-category students with better ranks than the general cutoff should have been counted in the Open Competition category.

The group says this happened in two regions of Andhra Pradesh.

It identified 43 such students in the AU region and 27 in the SVU region.

The group says the admissions followed GO-102 instead of the approach required under GO-151.

It believes this hurt reserved-category students.

The group also referred to Supreme Court rulings supporting its interpretation of the rules.

It wants the admissions cancelled and conducted again under the correct rules.
