Andhra Pradesh Sets Higher Interim Fees for Private Medical Colleges
Andhra Pradesh has set temporary fees for private medical and dental colleges for the 2026–27 school year.
Undergraduate fees will be 10% higher than the earlier rates.
Postgraduate and super-speciality fees will be 15% higher.
The amount depends on the type of seat a student gets.
For example, an MBBS seat costs ₹18,150 in Category A and up to ₹43,56,000 in Category C. Colleges cannot charge more than the temporary fee under any name.
Students must be told in writing that the fee may change.
If the final fee is lower, colleges must refund or adjust the extra money.
Andhra Pradesh has notified provisional fees for private unaided medical and dental colleges for 2026–27.
Undergraduate fees are 10% higher than the existing 2020–23 block-period rates, while postgraduate and super-speciality fees rise 15%.
The annual MBBS fee is ₹18,150 for Category A, ₹14,52,000 for Category B and ₹43,56,000 for Category C.
PG medical clinical-degree fees range from ₹5,71,320 in Category A to ₹66,12,500 in Category C.
The final fee structure will be decided by the state fee-regulatory commission and will replace the interim rates.
