CISF DG Reviews Security at Key Visakhapatnam Installations
A very important security officer in India went to a city called Visakhapatnam to check on safety.
His name is Praveer Ranjan, and he is the Director General of the CISF, a special force that guards important places.
He visited for two days, on August 15 and 16.
He looked at how safe and ready the security was at a big steel plant and at the city's port.
He talked with the leaders who run those places to discuss how to protect them.
He also spoke to the security officers at a big meeting called a Sainik Sammelan.
He told them to use new technology and to stay ready for any problems.
He reminded them to stay disciplined and to take care of their health and minds.
He was very happy about women joining the force and praised the first group of women commandos.
His visit was all about making sure important places stay safe and protected.
CISF Director General Praveer Ranjan reviewed security and operational preparedness at key strategic installations in Visakhapatnam during a two-day visit on August 15 and 16.
At the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, he held discussions with RINL CMD M.N.V.S. Prabhakar, senior management officials and CISF personnel on security and protection of the vital installation.
He reviewed security arrangements, training and operational preparedness at Visakhapatnam Port and discussed port security and coordination with VPA chairman Jasmeet Singh Bindra.
Addressing a combined Sainik Sammelan of CISF units, the DG stressed futuristic security strategies, technological upgradation, operational readiness, discipline and personnel well-being.
He highlighted the growing role of women in the CISF and appreciated the achievements of the first batch of CISF women commandos trained at the 10th Reserve Battalion.
