Nellore’s Palle Veeekshana Brings Welfare Services To Villages

Nellore officials visit villages every week through a programme called Palle Veeekshana.

The programme helps them learn about villagers’ problems directly.

Collector Himanshu Shukla visited Maktapuram village for one such meeting.

Farmers asked for a place to store paddy, and land was allocated for an agricultural godown.

Villagers also received land for a cremation ground.

Ten people were approved for new pensions.

Officials were asked to start two bus trips to the village within 10 days.

The collector also checked work projects, waste management, farms and the Anganwadi centre.

Officials said urgent problems would be handled immediately and other complaints would be addressed within set timelines.
