Tamil Nadu CM Vijay leads mass anti-drug pledge for students

The leader of Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister Vijay, invited school students to a big meeting in Chennai.

At the meeting, everyone made a special promise called an anti-drug pledge.

The promise says they will never use drugs and will help their friends and family stay away from them too.

They also promised to help people who are sick from drugs get better with the support of recovery programs.

The government wants to make Tamil Nadu a place with no drugs at all.

They are giving money to schools to teach students about the dangers of drugs.

They made a mobile app so students and teachers can quietly tell police about people selling drugs nearby.

Special police teams have been formed to catch people who make or sell drugs.

People from all over the state could also make the promise online.

The Chief Minister believes everyone must work together because catching bad people is not enough on its own.
