Governor Shukla Urges Youth to Build Drug-Free Telangana
Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla asked young people to help make Telangana free from drugs.
He told students not to use narcotics.
He encouraged them to spend their energy on learning, sports, skills and useful inventions.
He praised programmes that teach students about the dangers of drugs.
He said parents, teachers, police and citizens should work together.
The Governor also gave students a drug-free pledge.
Later, he met turmeric farmers in Nizamabad.
He launched programmes to encourage natural farming and connect farmers with exporters so they can improve quality and possibly earn better prices.
Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla urged young people to help build a drug-free society during an anti-drug programme in Nizamabad.
He praised the government’s EAGLE initiative, police efforts, anti-drug committees and Prahari Clubs in educational institutions.
Shukla encouraged students to avoid narcotics and focus on education, sports, skills, innovation and national service.
He administered a drug-free pledge and honoured winners of essay and elocution competitions; MP Dharmapuri Arvind also addressed students.
Shukla later launched the Sunahari Mitti Abhiyan and a market-linkage programme for turmeric farmers in Nizamabad.
