Parliament Passes Bill to Rename Kerala as Keralam

India has a big group of leaders who meet in a building called Parliament to make laws.

These leaders decided to change the name of one of India's states.

The state of Kerala will now be called Keralam.

A leader named Rai spoke about the change during the meeting.

He said the new name is a matter of pride for the people of Kerala.

He also said it is a matter of pride for all Indians.

Rai told the leaders that India has many different languages, cultures, traditions, and art forms.

He said these differences help show that India is one united country.

He used a special phrase, One India, Best India, to celebrate this idea.
