251 Kg Ganja Seized in Mathura; Five Alleged Smugglers Arrested
Police in Mathura stopped a truck suspected of carrying illegal drugs.
They found 251 kilograms of ganja hidden under sacks of organic fertiliser.
Officials said the drugs were worth about Rs 1.25 crore.
The truck was allegedly traveling from Odisha toward Aligarh.
Police also said some of the drugs were meant for Mathura and Aligarh.
Five people were arrested during the operation.
The truck driver, cleaner and three alleged helpers were among those arrested.
The alleged mastermind, Mukul, escaped and police are searching for him.
The Anti-Narcotics Task Force and Farah police seized 251 kg of ganja in Mathura.
Officials valued the seized consignment at approximately Rs 1.25 crore.
The ganja was allegedly transported from Odisha to Aligarh beneath sacks of organic fertiliser.
Police arrested five alleged smugglers, including a truck driver, cleaner and three alleged accomplices.
The alleged mastermind, identified as Mukul, escaped and remains the subject of police raids.
