Police seized 447 kg of ganja valued at Rs 2.23 crore from a container truck in Kabirdham, Chhattisgarh.
The truck was intercepted near a barrier outside Chilphi police station close to the Madhya Pradesh border.
The contraband was allegedly hidden in a specially created secret chamber above the driver’s seat.
Driver Baljeet Singh, a resident of Amritsar, Punjab, was arrested under the NDPS Act.
Police impounded the truck, seized a mobile phone and began investigating the wider smuggling network.
