Class VI Boy Drowns in Polavaram Canal After Father's Reprimand
A 12-year-old boy went to school and later to his tuition class.
That evening he took some money from his father's pocket without asking.
When he came home, his father scolded him for taking the money.
The boy felt upset and rode his bicycle to a temple.
His family searched for him, found him there, and asked him to come home.
On the way back home, he rode his bicycle into the canal by accident.
Sadly, he drowned in the water.
The police found his body the next day.
They took the body to a hospital to examine it.
Police are now investigating how this happened.
A 12-year-old Class VI student drowned in the Polavaram Right Main Canal near Veerapanenigudem in Gannavaram mandal, Krishna district, on Wednesday night.
His body was recovered on Thursday and shifted to the government hospital in Gannavaram for post-mortem examination.
The boy had taken 200 rupees from his father's shirt pocket without permission before going to tuition, and was reprimanded by his father on returning home.
After the reprimand, he rode his bicycle to a temple; his parents and family members found him and asked him to return home.
Police registered a case of suspicious death and an investigation is under way.
