12-Year-Old Boy Swept Away in Himachal, Body Found in Haryana
A 12-year-old boy named Amarjit Kumar was playing with his friends near a small stream in Himachal Pradesh, a state in India.
The stream had lots of water because of rain.
He fell into the water, and the strong current carried him away.
His family found his slippers near the spot and told the police.
Police officers, along with the NDRF and Home Guards, searched for the boy with the help of local people.
His body was found that night in a nearby stream in another state called Haryana.
The boy's family comes from Bihar.
Police sent his body to a medical college in Nahan for a check-up called a post-mortem.
After that, his body will be given back to his family.
It was a very sad accident.
A 12-year-old boy, Amarjit Kumar, was swept away by strong currents in a rain-fed stream in Himachal Pradesh's Sirmaur district.
He fell into the water while playing with friends near a rain-fed rivulet close to Rampur Jatan village in the Kala-Amb area on Tuesday morning.
His slippers were found at the spot after the incident, prompting his family to inform the police.
Kala-Amb police, along with NDRF and Home Guards personnel and locals, carried out a search of downstream areas.
His body was recovered on Tuesday night from the stream near Dera village in Haryana and sent to the Medical College in Nahan for post-mortem.
