UP Energy Minister Orders Action Over Power Failures, Delayed Transformers

Mr. Sharma, who is in charge of electricity in a big state in India called Uttar Pradesh, held an important meeting.

He was not happy because some towns did not have electricity for a long time.

In some places, big machines called transformers, which help bring power to homes, had broken and nobody fixed them.

A transformer is like a helper that makes electricity safe for our homes.

In one town, a broken transformer had not been fixed for ten days.

In another town, it stayed broken for twelve days.

Mr. Sharma said the people who are supposed to fix these things were not doing their jobs properly.

He told his team that anyone who is careless will be punished or removed from their job.

He also asked workers to make the roads safe for a special religious walk called the Kanwar Yatra, so pilgrims have light and safety.

His main message was that everyone must work hard so that people always have electricity.
