Moderate Rain Forecast for Western Ghats, North Coastal Tamil Nadu
Weather scientists in Chennai said parts of Tamil Nadu would get moderate rain on Tuesday.
The rain will come with thunder, lightning, and strong winds in some places.
A special weather pattern called a trough is bringing these showers.
Areas near the Western Ghats mountains and north coastal Tamil Nadu will see the most rain.
This wet weather may continue for several more days, until August 16.
Some other parts of the state will get hotter, with temperatures rising by up to three degrees.
The sky in Chennai will be partly cloudy, and rain may come in the evening or night.
Many places in Tamil Nadu already got lots of rain in the last day.
People are being told to be careful during lightning and windy weather.

A trough persisting in lower atmospheric levels over coastal Tamil Nadu is creating favourable conditions for rainfall.
The wet spell over Western Ghats districts is expected to continue, with moderate rain likely at isolated places until August 16.
Maximum temperatures may rise by up to three degrees Celsius in parts of north interior Tamil Nadu until August 14.
Vedhiyarendal in Sivaganga district recorded the highest rainfall of 5 cm in the 24 hours ending 8:30 a.m. Monday.
