Vijay Raises Aavin Milk Procurement Prices to Rs 44
Tamil Nadu has decided to pay dairy farmers more for the milk they supply to Aavin.
The price will increase by Rs 3 for every litre.
It will now be Rs 44 instead of Rs 41.
This is the second increase announced recently.
The earlier increase changed the price from Rs 38 to Rs 41 on August 19.
The government also announced a large plan to improve electricity and industry in the state.
The plan includes new power substations and thousands of kilometres of power lines.
A new 1,600 MW power station is also planned in Tuticorin.
Tamil Nadu approved a Rs 3-per-litre increase in Aavin milk procurement prices.
The procurement price will rise from Rs 41 to Rs 44 per litre.
The increase follows an earlier August 19 hike from Rs 38 to Rs 41.
Rs 33,066 crore was earmarked for 196 substations and 15,000 km of power lines.
A 1,600 MW thermal power station will be built in Tuticorin through a PPP investment of Rs 20,800 crore.
