Mumbai Rotary Clubs Launch Impact Games India Multi-Sport Event
Some clubs in Mumbai, called Rotary Clubs, are starting a giant sports event called Impact Games India.
It is the first event of its kind in the whole city.
Anyone can join, no matter how old they are or how well they play sports.
There will be games like badminton, tennis, cricket, football, chess and carrom.
There are even special games for people with disabilities, like blind chess.
More than 5,000 people are expected to take part.
The event will happen on four weekends in October 2026, with a big closing ceremony on 1 November.
When people pay to join, the money helps good causes like education, health and community welfare.
The event is supported by Fit India, the country's fitness movement, and also helps a campaign to keep India free from drugs.
So it is a fun way to play sports and help other people at the same time.
Impact Games India (IGI), led by the Rotary Club of Mumbai SOBO with support from Rotary Club of Bombay Airport under Rotary District 3141, is Mumbai's first city-wide multi-sport platform.
IGI will run across four weekends in October 2026 at venues across Mumbai, culminating in a Grand Finale and Closing Ceremony on 1 November.
The event expects over 5,000 participants across more than 15 sports, including racquet sports, team sports, mind sports, and inclusive categories such as blind chess and disability sports.
100 percent of net proceeds from registrations and partnerships will go to verified charitable causes in sports, education, health, and community welfare.
IGI is recognised by Fit India, the Government of India's national fitness movement, and supports the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan campaign for a drug-free India.
