Goregaon Police Arrest Two Men for Prem Nagar Murder
A man in Mumbai was badly hurt late one night and sadly died.
He had been beaten up outside a hotel because of an argument about a hotel bill.
His brother told the police what happened.
The police worked very fast and caught two men suspected of hurting him within one day.
The two men are called Ajay and Vikas.
The police made a special team to find them because witnesses could not recognize the attackers.
After finding them, the police took them to court.
A judge said the men must stay with the police until August 23 so the police can keep asking questions.
The police are still working to learn more about what happened.
Goregaon Police arrested Ajay Munni Upadhyay (39) and Vikas Devaraj Paswan (23) within 24 hours of the alleged murder of 30-year-old Aziz Mohammad Atik Khan in Prem Nagar, Goregaon West.
The assault happened around 11:30 pm on August 11, 2026, outside Salman Hotel in Prem Nagar after an argument over a hotel bill.
The injured man was rushed to Trauma Care Hospital in Jogeshwari East, where doctors declared him dead before admission.
Police registered an FIR under Sections 103(1), 115(2), 352, 351(3) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and formed six investigation teams.
The accused were produced before a court, which remanded them to police custody until August 23, 2026; further investigation is underway.
