The University Grants Commission is asking people to nominate scientists for a physics award.

The award is named after Professor R Srinivasan.

It is for important work in experimental low temperature physics.

The work must have been carried out in India.

The winner will receive a certificate-like citation and Rs 20,000.

There is no age limit for nominees.

Each nomination needs the scientist’s biodata, 10 important publications, and five referees.

Nominations must be emailed by October 6, 2026.

An expert committee will choose the winner.
