CSIR Invites Applications for Direct Senior Research Fellowship 2026

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, called CSIR for short, is a big science organization.

It has invited young researchers to apply for its Senior Research Fellowship 2026 program.

This program helps researchers do full-time science research at universities, laboratories and research institutions.

Selected fellows will get 42,000 rupees every month, plus up to 20,000 rupees each year for research expenses.

To apply, candidates need certain degrees and sometimes science papers published in journals.

The maximum age to apply is 32 years, but some groups of people get extra years allowed.

The fellowship starts for two years and can be extended for one more year if research progress is good.

There is no application fee to apply.

Interested researchers must apply online through the official CSIR website before the last date.
