India Cuts Diesel, ATF Export Levies Again From October 1
India cuts diesel, ATF windfall taxes again. What changes from October 1 · firstpost.com

India is charging less tax on diesel and aviation fuel sold to other countries.

Starting October 1, the diesel export levy will be Rs 16 per litre.

The levy on aviation turbine fuel, or ATF, will be Rs 10.5 per litre.

The tax on petrol exports will stay at Rs 0.50 per litre.

These changes affect exports only, not fuel sold inside India.

The government checks these taxes every two weeks.

It changes them when global crude oil and fuel prices move.

The taxes were introduced to help keep enough fuel available in India and discourage unusually profitable exports.
