Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha hails state's phenomenal eight-year growth

On Independence Day, a top leader named Manik Saha made a speech.

He is the Chief Minister, the main leader of an Indian state called Tripura, which is in the northeastern part of India.

Mr. Saha spoke at a big celebration in Agartala, the state's main city.

He said Tripura has grown a lot in the last eight years.

The state's economy, called GSDP, became twice as big in just six years, and people now earn almost as much as the average Indian.

He said the state is peaceful, with the fewest crimes last year in twenty years.

Business people want to invest lots of money in Tripura, about Rs 1.32 lakh crore.

The government received more than 360 awards for its good work in farming, villages, and other areas.

It also signed a deal with a famous medical institute to improve healthcare, and helped 6,935 Bru families return home from Mizoram.

The speech was about all the good things the government says it has done for the people of Tripura.
