He honored Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose by placing flowers at his statue.

He also visited a museum about the Indian National Army.

The museum displays old letters, photographs, badges and other objects.

Moirang is remembered because the INA raised the Indian flag there on April 14, 1944.

The Vice-President had arrived in Manipur from Assam.

After his visit, he was scheduled to travel to Arunachal Pradesh.
