Vice-President Radhakrishnan Pays Tributes at INA Memorial
Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan visited an important freedom-struggle memorial in Manipur.
The memorial is in Moirang, in Bishnupur district.
He honored Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose by placing flowers at his statue.
He also visited a museum about the Indian National Army.
The museum displays old letters, photographs, badges and other objects.
Moirang is remembered because the INA raised the Indian flag there on April 14, 1944.
The Vice-President had arrived in Manipur from Assam.
After his visit, he was scheduled to travel to Arunachal Pradesh.

He paid floral tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s statue and toured the INA War Museum.

Moirang Kangla was the site where the INA first hoisted the Tricolour on Indian soil on April 14, 1944.
Radhakrishnan, who arrived from Assam, also visited Sainik School in Imphal before travelling to Arunachal Pradesh.
