Chandrababu Naidu Joins Swachh Andhra Beach Cleanliness Drive
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu joined a beach-cleaning event in Visakhapatnam.
The event was part of the ‘Swarna Andhra-Swachh Andhra’ programme.
He helped people collect plastic and other waste from RK Beach.
Sanitation workers, volunteers, scuba divers and fishermen also took part.
Naidu spoke with the workers and watched the cleaning activities.
The programme encourages people to keep public places clean.
It also aims to protect the coast and nearby marine ecosystems from waste.
Naidu additionally opened a pilot site for recovering ocean plastic online and inspected a robot used to clean sewage systems.
