Former IndiGo Employee Held for Posing as Air Force Personnel
A 26-year-old man in India made a fake ID card that looked like it belonged to the Air Force, the part of the military that flies planes.
He also asked a tailor to make him a uniform like Air Force members wear.
He wanted people in his village to think he had an important job in the Air Force.
But he was not in the Air Force at all — he used to work for an airline called IndiGo and now works as a barber.
Police in Pune found out about it and arrested him.
They recovered the fake ID card and a uniform during their investigation.
The man comes from a district called Beed and used to live in Shikrapur, where his father runs a shop.
Police are still checking whether he tricked anyone or whether other people helped him.
He could be in trouble with the law for pretending to be someone he is not.
A 26-year-old man, Shubham Vilas Ambure, was arrested by Lohegaon police in Pune for allegedly creating a fake Air Force identity card.
Ambure reportedly approached a tailor to stitch an Air Force crew uniform and showed the fake ID to claim he worked with the Air Force.
The incident came to light on August 6 near Balaji Tailor Shop in Gurudwara Colony, Lohegaon, where police recovered a suspicious uniform and the fake identity card.
Police said Ambure, originally from Beed district, wanted to create an impression among villagers that he had secured a job with the Indian Air Force.
Ambure, a former IndiGo employee currently working as a barber, faces further probes into whether he cheated anyone or had other motives and accomplices.
