Haryana yoga teacher sets Guinness record with 86 underwater push-ups
Kamal Kaloi is a yoga teacher who set a very special world record.
He did 86 push-ups while staying underwater on just one breath.
Most people can only hold their breath for a short time underwater.
Kamal practiced for two whole years to get this good.
He used special breathing exercises from yoga to help him.
This is not his first record — he set two other world records before this one.
He lives in Vietnam, but his wife, children, and mother live in India.
Kamal wants young people to know that with practice, patience, and hard work, they can do amazing things too.
Kamal Kaloi, a 38-year-old yoga teacher from Haryana, set a Guinness World Record for 86 underwater push-ups on a single breath.
The record was completed last October in Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Vietnam, where Kaloi has lived for over 13 years.
He prepared for two years by combining calisthenics with breath-holding endurance and yoga-based breathing techniques.
Kaloi previously held records for most consecutive underwater yoga positions (July 2020) and most air rings blown underwater (September 2020).
He avoids junk food and protein supplements, eats only twice a day, and says he wants to inspire young people in Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
