Anshuman Jhingran Becomes Youngest Male Oceans Seven Finisher
Anshuman Jhingran is an Indian swimmer who races across oceans and channels.
He completed seven very difficult open-water swims known as the Oceans Seven.
His final swim was across Japan’s Tsugaru Strait on 30 June 2026.
Guinness World Records recognised him as the youngest male to complete all seven swims.
He was 21 years and 109 days old when he finished.
The challenge took three years and included crossings near Northern Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand, Spain, England and Japan.
Swimmers must deal with cold water, strong currents, changing weather and long hours of effort.
Jhingran trained with coach Gokul Kamath and earned his second Guinness World Records title.
Anshuman Jhingran was recognised by Guinness World Records as the youngest male to complete the Oceans Seven.
He completed the final Tsugaru Strait crossing in Japan on 30 June 2026, aged 21 years and 109 days.
Jhingran finished all seven crossings between July 2023 and June 2026.
His seven crossings included the North Channel, Catalina Channel, Cook Strait, Molokai/Kaʻiwi Channel, Strait of Gibraltar, English Channel and Tsugaru Strait.
He trained at the Fr. Agnel Sports Centre in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, under coach Gokul Kamath.
