Security Tightened at Hyderabad's RGIA Ahead of Independence Day

India has a big holiday coming up called Independence Day.

Before this holiday, the people who keep us safe want to make sure everyone is protected.

At the big airport in Hyderabad, called Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, security guards are doing extra checks.

They are checking cars that come near the airport and looking closely at people's bags.

Special security officers called CISF, along with local police, are doing the checking.

These checks make sure nobody brings anything dangerous onto the plane.

Because the checks take time, people flying may have to wait a bit longer than usual.

That is why passengers are being told to arrive at the airport earlier than they normally would.

Being patient and coming early helps everyone get to their flights safely and on time.
