Delhi Assures Influenza Preparedness as H1N1 Cases Reach 1,777
Delhi has reported many flu cases this year.
Most of the influenza-A cases were the H1N1 type, also called swine flu.
Officials say hospitals have enough beds, doctors, medicines and equipment.
They are checking flu-related illnesses every day.
Hospitals have also received instructions about testing, treatment, masks and home care.
Officials are watching dengue, malaria and chikungunya as well.
No deaths from those three diseases have been reported.
Government teams are visiting homes and working to reduce mosquitoes.
People are being asked to wash their hands, wear masks in crowded places and see doctors instead of treating themselves.

Local bodies have visited 2.38 crore houses, sprayed 3.20 lakh houses and launched 6,724 prosecutions over mosquito-control violations.
