CAG and IIT Madras Launch Digital Systems Audit Certification
The CAG and IIT Madras have created a course about checking whether digital systems work properly and safely.
These systems can include government platforms, cloud services, artificial intelligence and data services.
The course is called the Certification on Audit of Digital Systems.
It lasts four months and is taught completely online.
People who are studying for or already have an undergraduate degree in India can join.
Students will learn about technology, cybersecurity, privacy and public auditing.
They will complete practical exercises and take supervised computer tests in person.
More advanced certificates may be added later, and the programme may eventually accept learners from other countries.
CAG and IIT Madras launched the foundation-level Certification on Audit of Digital Systems through SWAYAM Plus.
The four-month programme is fully online and open to people pursuing or holding an undergraduate degree in India.
The curriculum covers public audit, information technology, cybersecurity, information systems, digital platforms and privacy, and artificial intelligence.
Learners will use case studies and audit scenarios, with assessments conducted through in-person, proctored computer-based tests.
The programme offers academic credits and is planned as a three-tier pathway, with Proficient and Expert levels to follow.
