BJP MP Seeks Action on Karnataka Tribal Welfare Delays
A lawmaker from Karnataka asked government officials about problems affecting tribal communities.
He discussed centres that help tribal groups sell their forest products.

Of 140 sanctioned Van Dhan Vikas Kendras in Karnataka, 69 are operational and 71 have not started.
Karnataka has received Rs 11.86 crore of the Rs 20.87 crore sanctioned, leaving Rs 9.01 crore pending.
Under PM-JANMAN, 21 of 33 sanctioned centres are operational, while 12 remain unopened.
Of 2,95,176 Forest Rights Act applications, 2,62,626 were rejected, 16,700 approved and 15,850 remain pending.
