Burglars Steal Gold, Valuables Worth Rs.36 Lakh in Khammam
Burglars broke into two houses in Tatipudi village on Sunday night.
The families living in the houses were away at the time.
One house lost gold and silver items worth about Rs.32 lakh.
The other house lost gold, cash and silver items worth about Rs.4 lakh.
Together, the stolen property was valued at more than Rs.36 lakh.
Police visited the houses after the thefts were reported.
A clues team and dog squad looked for evidence.
Police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation.
Burglars targeted two houses in Tatipudi village, Khammam district, on Sunday night.
The families were away when the houses were broken into.
Patani Sunitha’s house lost about 15 tolas of gold and two kilograms of silver worth Rs.32 lakh.
Farmer Dosapati Rajeshwara Rao’s house lost two tolas of gold, Rs.30,000 cash and silver items worth Rs.4 lakh.
Wyra police registered a case and are investigating with a clues team and dog squad.
