The CBI questioned six people as it investigated the attack.

The alleged attacker, Karamjit Singh, had shared information about his activities and associates.

Investigators said they had identified the person who sold him a pistol.

In other news, Home Minister Buta Singh said he would not hold talks with GNLF leader Subhash Ghisingh.

Defence officials were also worried that sensitive information about gravity in India had been leaked.

The report said such information can matter when guiding ballistic missiles.
