24-Year-Old Daughter of Vijayawada Traffic DCP Dies in Guntur Accident
A young woman named Afifa was riding in a car with her friends in the city of Guntur.
A big truck in front of them suddenly stopped, and the car crashed into the back of it.
Afifa was hurt very badly and sadly died from her injuries.
The other people in the car had only small injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Afifa's mother, Shereen Begum, is a senior traffic police officer in the nearby city of Vijayawada.
Police officers are now investigating how and why the accident happened.
They have also kept the truck driver for questioning and are checking Afifa's body at a government hospital.
Different news reports give slightly different details, like her exact name, when the accident happened, and how many friends were in the car.
This sad event is a reminder that accidents can happen suddenly and that everyone should be careful on the road.
Md. Afifa (reported in one article as Shaik Asifa), 24, daughter of Vijayawada Traffic DCP Shereen Begum, was killed when the car she was travelling in rammed a lorry on Etukuru Bypass Road in Guntur.
The accident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday under Nallapadu Police Station limits, while one report described it as Sunday evening near Yetukuru on the city's outskirts.
A lorry travelling in the same direction suddenly applied brakes; the car driver reportedly lost control and hit the lorry from behind, with one report saying the car also struck a road divider.
Afifa, seated in the back seat, suffered severe head injuries and was declared brought dead at a hospital, while the other three occupants sustained minor injuries.
Nallapadu police registered a case based on a complaint by Rutvik, took the lorry driver into custody, and shifted Afifa's body to Guntur Government General Hospital for post-mortem.
