Woman and Son Killed in Khammam Highway Head-On Crash
A family was driving on a big highway when a fast-moving truck crashed into their car.
A mom named Sujatha and her teenage son Pavan got very badly hurt in the crash and sadly died.
They were on their way to the city of Hyderabad so Pavan could start college.
Pavan's dad was in the car too and got seriously hurt, so he was taken to the hospital.
The truck tipped over and blocked the whole road.
The truck driver was also hurt and was taken to the hospital.
Police think the truck driver was going too fast and not driving carefully.
Police wrote a report about the crash and are still investigating what happened.
The highway had only just opened a few days before, and it had been closed earlier because of other accidents.
A woman and her teenage son were killed on the spot in a head-on collision between a car and a truck on the Dhamsalapur bridge along the Khammam–Devarapalli Greenfield National Highway in Khammam district on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Pokabathini Sujatha (38) and her son Pavan (17), residents of Gandhi Nagar in Chintakani mandal.
