Odisha Releases Rs 14.34 Crore For KG-To-PG Education
Odisha is giving more money to colleges and universities for its free-education scheme.
The new payment is worth Rs 14.34 crore.
It is the second payment for the 2026-27 academic year.
An earlier payment was Rs 9.56 crore.
Together, the two payments total Rs 23.90 crore.
The money is meant to help schools provide the scheme to eligible students.
Eligible students do not have to pay admission fees.
They still have to pay the required examination fees.
Odisha released a second instalment of Rs 14.34 crore under its KG to PG Free Education scheme.
The amount equals 15 per cent of the approved assistance for the 2026-27 academic session.
The release follows a first instalment of Rs 9.56 crore, taking total disbursement to Rs 23.90 crore.
Funds were released by the Higher Education Department through the Student Academic Management System.
Eligible students receive a full admission-fee waiver but must pay the prescribed examination fee.
