PM Modi Urges Identification, Isolation of 'Dimagi Naxals'
A very important leader gave a big speech on his country's birthday.
His name is Narendra Modi, and he is the Prime Minister of India.
In his speech, he talked about a group of people who used to fight against the government with weapons in the forests.
He said the government was able to get rid of those fighters.
But he said some people still think like those fighters, and he called them 'dimagi naxals,' meaning 'mental Naxals.'
He said these people are hiding in important government places and might try to cause trouble.
He asked everyone to find these people and keep them away from society.
He also remembered the police officers and soldiers who lost their lives fighting the Naxals over nearly forty years.
He wants young people to help make India a better and developed country.
In his Independence Day speech from the Red Fort, PM Modi said armed Naxals have been eliminated from the jungles but 'dimagi naxals' (people with a Naxal mentality) are still around and threatening society.
He said individuals with a Maoist mindset had entrenched themselves in the corridors of power and influenced policies, including through roles as advisors on government committees.
Modi said Naxalism and Maoism destroyed the future of millions of young people and held large parts of India in their grip for nearly four decades.
He said more than 3,500 police and security personnel sacrificed their lives protecting citizens, a toll he called higher than those who die in war.
He called for 'dimagi naxals' to be identified and isolated and for the nation's youth to be connected with the mainstream effort to make India a developed nation.
