Bengaluru Demolition Drive Removes 233 Shops Near KR Market

In a city called Bengaluru, there is a big market called KR Market and a big hospital called Victoria Hospital.

For many years, little shops were built on the walking paths where people walk.

This made it hard and unsafe for people to walk.

A very important court called the Karnataka High Court said those shops had to go.

The city's corporation, which takes care of the city, started removing the shops on Wednesday.

In total, they removed 233 shops.

Some of the shops were near the hospital and some were under a flyover.

Now the walking paths are clear again.

People can walk safely and easily.

The city did this to give the footpaths back to the public.
