Pune Collector Sets October Deadline to Eliminate 43 Black Spots

The person in charge of the Pune district, Mr. Jitendra Dudi, had a meeting about keeping roads safe.

He found 43 places on the roads where accidents happen a lot, called black spots.

He told everyone to fix these 43 spots by October 10.

He also wants all the potholes on the roads filled by August 31, so cars can drive smoothly.

Places where roads meet and accidents happen must be made safer within six months.

Things blocking the big highways, like shops or buildings too close to the road, must be removed in 15 days.

He wants permanent fixes, not quick temporary ones, so the roads stay safe for a long time.

Workers building roads must put up signs and warning boards to keep drivers safe.

The plan also includes cameras, better lights, and a map of dangerous spots.

This is all being done so that fewer people get hurt in road accidents.
