Officials say potholes, damaged road edges, roadside parking, and encroachments are making the traffic worse.

Starting Friday, vehicles will not be allowed to park along roads in the area.

Drivers must use open parking spaces provided by MIDC for free.

Officials may confiscate vehicles parked illegally, even for a first offense.

Government agencies must repair potholes and road shoulders by August 31.

Gaps in highway dividers will also be closed to reduce bottlenecks.

One hundred security personnel will help police manage traffic.
