Riddhi Thakkar Death: Police Probe Organisers of Women Riders Rally

A woman named Riddhi Thakkar went on a motorcycle trip with a group of women riders in India.

She was 24 years old and lived in Mumbai.

Early in the morning on August 12, the group set off toward Bastar, but the trip had trouble from the start.

One rider collided with another after an animal crossed the road, and the crash bent the brake lever on one motorcycle.

Riddhi wanted to ride that motorcycle anyway, even though the organizers told her not to.

Later, on a curve in the road, a truck coming the other way hit her and drove away without stopping.

She was taken to a hospital quickly, but sadly she died.

The police are now looking for the truck driver and are also checking whether the organizers did enough to keep everyone safe.

Some people on the internet blame the organizers, while other riders say it was a terrible accident and that Riddhi had insisted on riding the damaged bike.
