Woman Killed After Two-Wheeler Skids, Run Over by Vehicle
Medha Akarsh was riding on the back of a two-wheeler with her work friend.
A car in front of them suddenly stopped.
The two-wheeler braked hard and slipped on the road.
Both riders fell off.
Medha fell to the right side of the road.
A goods truck coming from the other direction ran over her.
She was taken to the hospital but died from her injuries.
Her friend had only small injuries and was fine.
Police are investigating and trying to find the truck that drove away.
Medha Akarsh, a 32-year-old native of Kerala, died after a goods vehicle ran over her when the two-wheeler she was riding pillion on skidded.
The accident occurred around 9 am on Wednesday on Ananthanagar Main Road near Hebbagodi in Bengaluru.
The two-wheeler, ridden by her colleague Ajay Guru, skidded after sudden braking when a car ahead stopped for a pedestrian crossing the road.
Medha fell towards the right side of the road and was run over by a goods vehicle coming from the opposite direction; Guru sustained minor injuries.
The goods vehicle fled the scene, and a case has been registered at the Electronic City Traffic Police Station with an investigation underway.
