A car crashed into a motorcycle and three autorickshaws in Malad West.

Priyanka Satra, who was riding on the motorcycle, died from her injuries.

Her husband Mayank was badly hurt but was reported to be out of danger.

The other vehicles’ drivers and one passenger were also injured.

Police said the car driver may have pressed the accelerator instead of the brake.

They are checking camera footage and waiting for a blood-test report.

The driver was arrested, sent to judicial custody and later granted bail.

Before Priyanka’s funeral, Mayank was taken home in a wheelchair to say goodbye.
