To make India Vishwaguru, bring marginalised communities into mainstream: Bhagwat
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said that to make India a true 'Vishwaguru', everyone needs to be included, especially people who have been left out.
He spoke at a residential school for the Pardhi community in Khamgaon, Maharashtra.
He said these communities were once keepers of knowledge.
But during British rule, the Pardhi community was branded as a criminal tribe just because they fought for India's freedom.
That caused them to fall far behind in development.
He said every family and every person should have education and the basic things they need to live.
He added that society should work together and not just wait for the government to help.
Society must stand together with everyone having equal strength.
Another leader, Ambadas Danve of Shiv Sena (UBT), was also at the event.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said marginalised communities must be brought into the mainstream to make India a 'Vishwaguru' in the true sense.
He was speaking after inaugurating sports grounds at a residential school for the Pardhi community in Khamgaon, Buldhana district, Maharashtra.
Bhagwat said 'bhatke-vimukt' (nomadic and de-notified) communities were once repositories of knowledge but were branded criminal tribes during the British era for taking part in the freedom struggle.
He said every family and individual should have education and basic necessities, with society working together and not merely depending on the government.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve was also present at the event.
