Asit Kumar Patnaik’s Continuum Traces Three Decades of Art
An art gallery is showing about 50 works by artist Asit Kumar Patnaik.
The exhibition looks back at art he made over 30 years, from 1995 to 2026.
Some of the works have not been shown before.
Visitors will see drawings, paintings, prints and other kinds of art.
Patnaik has worked with many materials and often experiments with texture.
His art explores relationships and emotions.
It also shows women as strong and important figures.
The exhibition opens in New Delhi in October 2026 and later continues in Saket.
Continuum: A 30-Year Retrospective features around 50 works by Asit Kumar Patnaik, made between 1995 and 2026.
The exhibition runs at LTC Gallery, Bikaner House, New Delhi, from October 14 to 18, 2026, before continuing at Chawla Art Gallery in Saket until November 14.
The works include previously unseen paintings and works on paper, alongside sketches, drawings, watercolours, landscapes, abstract compositions, graphic prints and paintings.
Patnaik’s practice spans materials including wood, fibreglass, paper collage, threads and canvas, with texture described as a defining feature.
The exhibition explores human relationships and women’s empowerment; Patnaik received the Best Solo Exhibitor Award at Art Expo New York in 2024.
