Telangana CM Revanth Reddy performs Purnahuti at Varuna Yagam
On Monday, a big special prayer ceremony called the Varuna Yagam happened in India.
It took place next to the Krishna River at a place called Nagarjuna Sagar.
The ceremony was organised by the Telangana government.
People sang Vedic chants and performed rituals to ask for rain.
The Chief Minister of Telangana, Mr. A Revanth Reddy, and his wife came to the ceremony.
They took part in the last and most important part, called the Purnahuti.
About 108 priests came from different parts of Telangana to help with the rituals.
Ministers and other leaders welcomed the Chief Minister when he arrived by helicopter.
The main hope was that the state would get plenty of rain and that people would be happy and well.

The Vedic ritual was held on the banks of the Krishna River at Nagarjuna Sagar on Monday.
Prayers were offered for the welfare and prosperity of the people and abundant rainfall across the state.
The yagam was conducted under the auspices of the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Yadagirigutta, with 108 ritwiks and priests.
Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy and his wife performed the inaugural rituals at 4.05 am, and the Chief Minister was welcomed at a helipad by ministers and officials.
