A trauma center was planned near Korlapahad to quickly help people hurt in road accidents.

It was supposed to be built beside National Highway 65 in Nalgonda district.

The center would have been about 6,500 square feet.

Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy laid its foundation stone in July 2024.

He said it would open by September 8, 2024.

However, the National Highways Authority of India said the center could not be built on its land.

The foundation plaque was removed, and the project stopped.

The state government has not yet chosen another location.

A social activist wants the center built somewhere between Nakrekal and Korlapahad.
