Training held on draft voter roll procedures in Tirupati constituency
A voter list is a big book that tells the government who is allowed to vote in elections.
Before an election, the government makes a draft version of this list so people can check it.
In Tirupati, India, election officials gathered for a training class on Friday.
Their leader, Ms. Sarada Devi, told them to work carefully and do a good job.
She wants a clean and correct voter list with no mistakes.
The officials learned what to do after the draft list is shown to the public.
They compared the 2025 voter list with the one from 2002 to find matching names.
Special days were set aside to ask voters questions if their names did not match.
The helpers will also make sure every voter has a clear photo.
This helps make sure the election is fair for everyone.

A training programme on action to be taken after publication of the draft electoral roll was held at Kachhapi Auditorium in Tirupati on Friday.
The training involved BLOs, supervisors, Additional AEROs and AEROs of the 167-Tirupati Assembly Constituency.
Voters in the final 2025 electoral roll were mapped with the 2002 electoral roll, with separate dates fixed for inquiries into unmapped voters and logical discrepancies.
BLOs were trained on conducting voter inquiries, recording attendance, uploading documents and ensuring clear, good-quality photographs for every voter at all polling stations.
