Ex-Kasipet Tahsildar Gets Two Years in Bribe Case
A court that hears anti-corruption cases found former government official Alugunuri Roshaiah guilty.

A special ACB court in Karimnagar sentenced former Kasipet Tahsildar Alugunuri Roshaiah to two years’ rigorous imprisonment.
Roshaiah was convicted under Sections 7 and 13(2) read with 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs.5,000.
Failure to pay the fine will result in three months of simple imprisonment.
On January 9, 2013, he allegedly demanded and accepted Rs.10,000 to help mutate agricultural land records and issue a Pattadar Passbook.
