NDMC chief urges team to gear up for BRICS Summit
A big, important meeting called the BRICS Summit is coming soon, where leaders from many countries talk and work together.
The person in charge of the city's services in New Delhi, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, told his team to get ready for it.
He spoke on Independence Day, a special day when India celebrates its freedom.
On this day, he raised the National Flag at his office.
He said the city's roads, parks, buildings and other services must look and work their very best.
He reminded everyone that the same team did a great job for another big meeting, the G20 Summit.
He also thanked the soldiers and freedom fighters who helped the nation in the past.
He said he has complete confidence that the team will rise to the occasion.
He asked them to finish all projects on time and without compromise.
Now the team has to prepare everything before the leaders arrive.
NDMC Chairperson Manoj Kumar Dwivedi called on Team NDMC to gear up for the upcoming BRICS Summit next month.
The appeal was made after he hoisted the National Flag at the NDMC Headquarters on the 80th Independence Day.
Dwivedi stressed meeting global standards in infrastructure, civic services, cleanliness, aesthetics and overall preparedness.
He cited the same commitment, professionalism and preparedness demonstrated by the NDMC during the G20 Summit.
He paid tributes to freedom fighters and Armed Forces and Paramilitary Forces jawans, and urged completion of ongoing projects within stipulated timelines.
