Telangana CM asks for single system for Hyderabad road networks
There is a big city called Hyderabad, and it has many roads.
The leader of Telangana, the state where Hyderabad is, is called A Revanth Reddy.
He thinks all the roads should be looked after by one big team instead of many different teams.
That way, the roads can be managed better.
He met with the people who take care of the city's roads to talk about this idea.
He wants the ring roads, flyovers and underpasses to be part of the new plan.
He is not happy with how one big road, the Outer Ring Road, is being managed right now.
Cars are being parked in messy places, and that causes accidents.
He wants people to watch over the road more carefully.
He believes good roads are very important for the city's future.
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy instructed officials to bring all of Hyderabad's road networks under a single administrative system.
The system would cover the Outer Ring Road, the proposed Regional Ring Road, flyovers, underpasses and other city roads.
Reddy held a meeting with officials of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and Hyderabad Road Development Corporation Ltd (HRDCL).
Reddy said the ORR's contractor firm is negligent and that accidents occur on the ORR because vehicles are parked in a disorderly fashion.
He suggested regular supervision of ORR management and involving traffic officials in road planning and construction, saying Hyderabad's future depends on road development.
